Lillian M. Savoy

Lillian M. Savoy, 99, formerly of Wahconah Heights, died yesterday morning at Hillcrest Commons. Born in Bennington, Vt., on Jan. 20, 1902, daughter of John and Mary English Fox, she attended schools there and moved to Pittsfield as a young woman. A homemaker, she was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Her husband, Louis E. Savoy, whom she married in 1920 in Winooski, Vt., died Sept. 9, 1961. She leaves a daughter, M. Joyce Armstrong of Pittsfield; a son, Harold L. Savoy of Pittsfield; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. There will be no calling hours. The funeral will be Saturday, Jan. 19, at 8:15 from DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 at St. Joseph's Church by the Rev. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
