Raymond J. David, 81

ALBANY, N.Y., — Raymond J. David, 81, of Albany, formerly of North Adams, Mass, passed away on May 21, 2021, at Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Born on Oct. 6, 1939, in North Adams, Mass., Raymond was the son of the late John and Anna (Morin) David. He was raised in North Adams and moved to Springfield, Mass. after college and lastly resided in Albany.
Mr. David received his education from Drury High School, and he attended St. Michael's College. Mr. David was formerly the proprietor of The Pub Lounge, Springfield, Mass. and has been employed by Green Thumb Environmental and Waterworks Pub, Albany.
Ray was an avid sports fan and loved the New York Yankees. He also enjoyed traveling and had a love for animals and
entertaining. He was very close to his sister Shirley and her family in North Adams.
He is survived by his nephews: Bob Davis of North Adams, Mass. and Jim Davis of Elmira as well as nieces: Barbara (Davis) Hassan and Susan (Davis) Warren both from Lanesboro, Mass, plus many great nieces and nephews and his loving sister, Shirley Davis of North Adams, Mass.
Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his niece, Judy Davis of North Adams. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the caregivers of Shaker Place in Albany and the many friends and family who visited him.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2-3 PM on Thursday, June 10th at SIMPLE CHOICES, Inc., 218 2nd Avenue (corner of 104th Street) in Troy, where a time to share memories will take place at 3 o'clock that afternoon in
the funeral home.
