Mark Francis Popielarczyk, 55, originally of Adams, died at his home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. He was born in North Adams on December 10, 1965. Mark leaves behind his mother, Mellissa (Lefebvre) Murphy of Adams, Massachusetts, two brothers, Steven Popielarczyk of Ware, Massachusetts and James Murphy of Edmond, Oklahoma, one sister in law Janet Popielarczyk , two nephews Jeffrey and Jacob, one niece Katelyn, and extended family William Murphy and daughters, Bonnie, Brenda, Debbie, and Penny. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas F. Popielarczyk.

Mark went to McCann High School in North Adams and joined the Navy after high school. He is a veteran and was decorated with the Battle Effectiveness Award and enjoyed his service in the Navy. Upon leaving the Navy he worked for moving companies, he also worked construction and for Tree and Landscaping Companies. Mark was well traveled and lived in California, Washington, Florida and finally set down roots in Gardner, Massachusetts.

Mark was an avid reader of both fiction and nonfiction novels. In his leisure time he liked to tinker with electronics, in summer months he enjoyed his garden and loved listening to music. Mark had a very generous heart and also was generous with his time. He took great pleasure and pride in lending a helping hand to anyone in need. Mark always enjoyed a good laugh and was the life of the party.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the Life of Mark Francis Popielarczyk will be celebrated at Notre Dame Church in Adams, MA. on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to either The American Diabetes Association or The American Heart Association.
