Lillian T. Snyder

Lillian T. Snyder, 85, of 380 Steven Glen Road died Tuesday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on March 12, 1915, daughter of James H. and Nellie O'Connor Doran, she attended St. Joseph's Grammar School and St. Joseph's High School. She had resided on West Union Street in Pittsfield for many years before moving to Richmond. A homemaker, Mrs. Snyder was first employed as a seamstress at the former Berkshire Coat Factory and later by Rice's Silk Mill. She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church and a fan of the Boston Red Sox. She enjoyed grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and traveling and vacationing with her family. Her husband, Charles W. Snyder, whom she married Aug. 5, 1939, died Nov. 13, 1984. She leaves a daughter, Charlene E. Dus, with whom she lived; a sister, Rita C. Radcliffe of Pittsfield; two grandsons, and six great-grandchildren. Lillian T. Snyder, 85, died Jan. 23, in Pittsfield. She was the loving grandmother of Michael E. Martin and Daniel G. Martin, and great-grandmother of Nazira, Taylor, Tylyn, Matthew, Brendan and Jacob. She is also survived by her devoted son-in-law, Rico H. Dus. Calling hours at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 8:15 a.m. from the funeral home, followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Mark's Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
