Wanda J. Peters

Wanda J. Peters, 84, of New Port Richey, Fla., a former resident of Housatonic, died Jan. 22 at Hernando-Pasco Hospice Hospital in New Port Richey. Born in Holyoke on April 16, 1917, daughter of Joseph and Nellie Kawecki, she attended Holyoke schools and graduated from Holyoke High School. She lived in Chicopee and Housatonic before moving to New Port Richey about 20 years ago. She enjoyed bingo, flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren. She leaves her husband of 50 years, George F. Peters, whom she married in November 1951; a daughter, Diane E. Bartlett-Dubreuil of Chicopee; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, David J. Bartlett, who died in 1998.
