Donna May Magnussen, 86

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Donna May (Harris) Magnussen 86 passed away on March 6, 2023 with her children at her side.

Donna was born in Yatesboro, Penn. on August 26, 1936. She moved to Alaska with her family when she was young, attending High School in Palmer and the University of Alaska in Fairbanks.

She taught at Adams High and later at McCann's Technical High School, while living in Clarksburg for many years. Donna and her husband Roald (Mag) were owners of the Sunnyside Bar in Clarksburg for several years in the 1970's. She relocated to Houston in 1980 and after her husband passed in 1984 she went back to Alaska working for the phone company until she retired.

She is survived by her son John Magnussen of Readsboro, Vt. and daughter Sally Brown (Dale) of Rochester, WA. She also survived by her sister Wilda Boggs (Billie) of Alaska, grandchildren Christina Northall (David), Jason Brown (Heather), Crystal Spooner, and Ronin Romero- Magnussen (Jonah), great-grandchildren Rylee and Liam Northall and Cameron and Seth Spooner. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

There are no Funeral arrangements per Donna's wishes. A celebrationof life will be scheduled at a later date.
