NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —Carolyn Louise (Lord) Hancock, 84 of Wilbraham, MA and formerly of North Adams, MA died on Monday March 27, 2023 at Orchard Valley Assisted Living in Wilbraham.

She was born in Adams, MA on May 22, 1938, a daughter of Gerald Lord Sr. and Violet (Mille) Lord. She attended Adams schools and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Carol worked at the former Dewey & Almy Chemical Co and then at WR Grace and their successor, Polyfibron Technologies for over 34 years until retiring. She was a member of the quarter century club at WR Grace.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca and her husband, Fred; two sisters, Ruth Clairmont of Adams and Barbara Lorenz and her husband, Steve of Plant City, FL and many nieces, nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, David Roger Hancock on January 7, 2022; her son, Keith Allen Hancock; her sister, Patricia Guettler and her husband, Richard and her brother, Gerald Lord Jr.
