ADAMS, Mass. — Barbara  Ann (Dow) Desroches, 46, of Adams, died Tuesday morning, May 30, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Pittsfield on August 28, 1976, the daughter of Robert A. and Barbara A. (Sworzen) Dow.

She attended Adams schools, graduating from Hoosac Valley High School with the Class of 1994. She then graduated from the C. H. McCann Post Graduate Dental Assistant Program in 1995. 

Barbara was the office manager at Yarmosky Pediatric Dentistry in Pittsfield, where she has worked for over 28 years. She had also worked as a bartender at Boston Seafood Restaurant in North Adams, and at the PNA in Adams for many years. She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She enjoyed travelling, going to concerts, walking, and spending time with her family.

Besides her parents, of Adams, she is survived by her daughter, Alexis A. Desroches and her son, Cole J. Desroches, both of Adams; her boyfriend, Todd Washburn of Pittsfield; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 3rd, at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 25 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will be private at a later date. Calling hours in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, are Friday from 4 to 7 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Barb’s Fundraiser, which was created to assist during her illness.
