Dawn D. Winters was born on Jan. 1, 1960, in Pittsfield to Lillian (Peanut) Duby and Carl (Red) Winters Sr. On June 7, 2023, Dawn past peacefully at home.

A Pittsfield native she attended Pittsfield Public Schools and eventually received her GED. She worked at Youngs Rest Home for many years in the kitchen and helped with day-to-day activities. Also, worked part-time at Aruba Tan.

Dawn leaves behind her 3 daughters, Kellie Berkeley of North Adams, Tasha Berkeley and Shamia Berkeley of Pittsfield. Her grandchildren, of whom she cherished, she leaves Armoni Ellerbee-Berkeley and Jamari LeClair of North Adams, Jayla Iddah, Kaaliq Chappelle, Kimesha and Ky'ree Bolling, and Mahailia Chappelle of Pittsfield. Her three Brothers Joseph Winters of North Carolina, Carl Winters Jr., Nelson Winters, and 1 sister Tracy Winters, all of Pittsfield. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well. Dawn was predeceased by both her parents, Lillian Duby and Carl Winters Sr., her sister Fonda Fury and her grandson Larry Bolling, Jr.
