Alma J. Coty

Alma J. Coty, 76, of 7 Pleasant St. died Sunday at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Lee on Oct. 9, 1925, daughter of Amedeo and Angelina Guerra Cadenelli, she graduated from St. Mary Parochial School and attended Lee High School. In the late 1950s and early '60s, Mrs. Coty was employed by Dr. Leo Mulloney. She later taught ceramics at her home and at the Lee Senior Citizens Center until the early 1990s. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and helped organize its St. Mary-St. Martha Sodality in the 1940s. She was a member of the Lee Senior Citizens and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Lee. She leaves her husband, Rob-ert F. Coty, whom she married Aug. 11, 1945; a son, R. Thomas Coty of Pittsfield; a brother, Bruno R. Cadenelli of Pittsfield; two sisters, Mary Zanella and Olga E. Petersoli, both of Lee; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9:15 from the KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make donations to St. Mary's Church or to the Lee Regional Visiting Nurse Association in care of the funeral home.
