Agnes Ingrid Harrington Bugbee, 100

ADAMS, Mass. —  Agnes Ingrid Harrington Bugbee, 100, of Adams, passed away on Good Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Williamstown Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Covington Township, Penn. on July 20, 1923, daughter of the late Orville and Lottie (Fitzroy) Harrington, she lived in Berkshire County (Florida, Adams, and Savoy) for most of her life.

In her spare time, you could find Aggie in the woods digging for antique bottles, walking, making her lovely greeting cards, or on Sunday, cooking a big family dinner.

She leaves three daughters, Claudia Clark, Marcia Bushee, Jill Rand, and four sons, Charles (Linda), David (Sharron), Stephen (Val), and Mark (Susan). She also leaves many precious grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy O. Bugbee, a daughter, Pamela J. Peters, a son, Peter Stephen; three brothers, Irving, Lyle and Verne. Six sisters, Lois Fritz, Nola Furman, Dorothy Baker Parmalee, Doris Marcil, Lenore Brooks, and Evelyn Teot.

A celebration of Agnes’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Donations in her memory can be made to the Berkshire Hills SDA School, PO Box 2959, Pittsfield, MA 01202. The TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME in Adams is in charge of arrangements.

Recollections & Sympathy For the Family

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. I have very fond memories of Aggie taking care of us girls at HVHS back in the 70s. She was always with a smile and brought in the coffee cans to keep our girls rooms clean of cigarette butts! She was easy to talk to and when I graduated she made me a card and matching book mark and I still treasure them! May you find comfort in the memories you have of her.

The Bugbee Family, Sorry to read of your "Mom's" passing. A long life made more memorable through the many blessings her family brought into her extended time on Earth. I remember Agnes as a fixture in Savoy, along with her late husband, Roy. Rest peacefully in the Lord's gentle and caring arms.
