Martin J. Lagowski, Jr., 69

ADAMS, Mass. —   In loving memory of Martin J. Lagowski Jr, aka "Les Diamond", born October 21,1954 and passed on August 9 2024 in Adams, where he was born and lived his life.   

Thank you for all the music, fun and laughter, you are missed and you are loved!

The funeral will be at Bellevue Cemetery in Adams at the family plot at 11:00am. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at the Mountain Club in Adams starting at noon. If you would like to bring a dish, that would be appreciated.  If you have any questions you can contact his cousin, Anne O'Neill at 413-441-0326.  

The family has requested  donations go Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Homes – Central Chapel 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA.

Marty (aka Les) was a friend of mine when Headfirst played in Hoosick Falls NY and also at the Carousel . Fantastic band and all the band players were great Marty and I lost touch when I moved to Virginia Beach in 1994. Les you were a great person to know. Wish we hadn’t lost contact. Thought of you often!!!

Marty and I played together in 2 bands, one wsas the begining of Eastern Flyer with George Lavoie our drummer. A good musician who put his heart & soul into everything we played. RIP Marty

He was my Brother and amongst being a musician he was also a composer of music. He played in multiple bands, Eastern Flyer , Diamond Skylar Steele, Head first. There was so much more to say about him and his accomplishments. I could go on and on. Love you Les Diamond. Rock on with the Angels

I will miss my lifelong friend. I am so thankful that we were able to have breakfast together with some of our Notre Dame classmates a couple of times when I was home last year. You friend forever.
