She received her certificate of cosmetology in 1965 from LeBaron Cosmetology Institute of Pittsfield. Mrs. Horn was a beautician with the House of Charm and Pia's Beauty Shoppe before opening her own shop. She enjoyed gardening, especially growing English ivy, and knitting. She and her husband, Thomas H. Horn Sr., celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary Jan. 31. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Thomas H. Horn Jr. and John C. Horn, both of Adams; two daughters, Carleen F. Lemoine of Adams and Lisa L. Fournier of Cheshire; two brothers, Frank and John Kut, both of Adams; two sisters, Josephine K. Voight and Joan Coviello, both of Adams, and seven grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or service for Betty Horn. The family suggests that memorials in her honor may be made to the VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire, 535 Curran Highway, North Adams, MA 01247, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
