Frances Clayton

Frances Clayton, 79, of 73 Valley St. died Feb. 17 at home. Born in Adams on July 22, 1922, daughter of Ralph and Rosanna Choiniere Moreau, she was a 1940 graduate of the former Adams High School. Mrs. Clayton was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for many years, but was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame-St. Thomas. Her husband, Thomas F. Clayton II, whom she married Sept. 2, 1946, died June 14, 1988. She leaves a son, Thomas F. Clayton III of West Yarmouth; two sisters, Irene M. Moderski and Antoinette R. Pietras, both of Adams, and two grandchildren. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 2, at 10:30 at Notre Dame Church by the Rev. Bonaventure Moccia, CP.
