Peter A. Seplow

Peter A. Seplow, 54, of 59 Monument Valley Road died Wednesday at home. Born in New Rochelle, N.Y., on April 11, 1947, son of Seymour Seplow and the late Caryl Finger Seplow, he was a 1965 graduate of Poughkeepsie (N.Y.) High School. Mr. Seplow was a recording engineer and operated Spectrum Recorders Inc. in Lanesboro for many years. He moved to the Berkshires 29 years ago. Besides his father, of Poughkeepsie, he leaves two brothers, Andrew Seplow and Michael Gerber, both of Boston. Graveside services for Peter A. Seplow, who died Feb. 20, 2002, will be Friday, March 1, at 2 in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. There will be no calling hours. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South Main St., Great Barrington, is in charge of local arrangements. Directions to the cemetery may be obtained by calling (914) 769-0397.

My heart is broken today. You were the only friend I ever had who stuck up for me when someone put me down, and I witnessed that. I will never forget that you did that for me. It has been 15yrs. Since you passed away, and yet, for me the realization that you are gone happened just today, when I found your obituary online, instead of your profile, on Facebook. I feel very sad and lonelier than a ghost knowing you are no longer walking in this world. To know that you were laiyed to rest on March 1st, my birthday, seems like no coincidence. One day, I will find you in the crowd beyond the Pearly Gates, and we will embrace in eternity. My heartfelt condolences to your Father & Brothers who survived you.
