Mary Ann O'Neill, 88

ADAMS, Mass. —  Mrs. Mary Ann (McKeon) O’Neill, 88, of Adams, died on Monday, December 30, 2024, at North Adams Commons.

She was born in North Adams on January 12, 1936, daughter of the late Thomas and Beatrice (LePage) McKeon, Sr. She attended area schools and graduated from Drury High School. She had also attended the former North Adams State College.

She married Bruce O’Neill and they moved to Florence, MA where she taught Head Start and later became a home health aide for 40 years, working for various agencies. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

She is survived by her sons, Bruce O’Neill of Largo, FL and John O’Neill of Stokesdale, NC; grandson Jason Johnson of Southampton, brothers, Tim McKeon (Julie) and Bill McKeon both of New Bern, NC, sister Carol Couture of Adams; her sister-in-law Margaret McKeon; three great grandchildren, her extended family in North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine Nuttelman, by her brothers, Ben and Dana Davis, Thomas McKeon, Jr., and David McKeon and by her sister Jean LaFreniere.

Per Mary Ann’s wishes there will be no services.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Rd. Pittsfield, MA 01201.
