Keith H. Boynton, 64

Keith H. Boynton, 64, of Bennington, VT, passed away on Feb. 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Keith was a beloved member of the community, known for his kindness, humor, and dedication to those around him. He was an active member of the Bennington Eagles, the VFW, Elks Club, and the Mount Anthony Country Club, where he formed lifelong friendships and shared many cherished moments.

Born and raised in Adams, MA., to Jean Horn Boynton, Keith spent his childhood summers at Horns Beach, a place close to his heart, owned by his grandmother, Mabel Horn. His love for the water never faded—he cherished time at the beach and made it a priority in his life. Every winter, he spent a month traveling to Florida with the love of his life, Kristin Mahar Pulver, embracing the warmth and the ocean he adored.

Keith is survived by his girlfriend Kristin, her two children, Matt (Monique) and Chad (Katie), and his brother, Richard B. Boynton (Paula J.). Several nieces and nephews, including Heather Boynton Todd (Matt), Meagan Boynton Welch (Joe), Corey R. Boynton, Nicholas Decoteau, and Jared Decoteau. He is predeceased by his mother Jean Horn Boynton and his sister Lydia Boynton Decoteau.

He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.

A funeral service will be held at St. John the Baptist Church on Houghton Lane in North Bennington at Noon on February 13, 2025, followed by a reception at the Fraternal Order of Eagles at 144 North Street in Bennington, VT.

I am very saddened to hear of Keith’s passing. We were very tight back in the day. We were Cub Scouts, “barn boys”, and hung with the Cheshire cats. We spent a lot of weekends at the beach. I spent a lot of time with “Jake” as I called him, and have so many good memories. I also spent a lot of time throwing stones at his second story bedroom trying to get him out of bed! We celebrated many birthdays together. RIP Buddy
