Doris Gian, 88

ADAMS, Mass. — Doris Gian, 88, passed away Feb. 1, 2025 after a fight with cancer. 

She was born Dec. 14, 1936, in Pownal, VT to Floyd Pratt Sr., and Fannie (O'Dell) Pratt. 

She attended schools in Pownal and worked at various jobs, the Dug Out Motel & Restaurant, Sprague Electric and was co-owner of the Corner Variety and Luncheonette on Summer St. in Adams.  Her last place of employment was at Southern Vermont Hospital where she retired from. 

She was pre-deceased by her older brother Floyd Pratt, Jr. aka Turk, her younger sister Sandra Krawczyk, her first husband Robert W. Levesque, Sr. and her second husband William Gian.  

Doris has four children: Brenda Thibert (Arthur), Robert Levesque, Jr., Bonnie Nikitas (Richard Langevin) and Brian Levesque, who tragically passed away in 1980. 

Doris also leaves her grandchildren: William Beals, Jr., Jennifer Hall and Cliff, Casandra Rochelo and Jonathan, Bree-Ann Goddard and Justin, Justyn (Amanda Ramos), Ashley and Ryan Iriass, and Shawn Tracey.  Also her great grandchildren: Paige, Callie, Roman Rochelo, Maddox Iriass, Cheyann, Sophie Goddard, Haven and Damien Winnie, Brian, Sarah and Killian and Connor Rivers.  She also leaves many nieces, nephews and other family members who loved her. 

She was also a loving Mom to her fur babies who all passed away before her. 

She will be missed by many.

There will be a memorial service at a later date.
