ADAMS- Claire Marie Gobeille, 90, a long-time resident of 9 Smith Street, Adams, passed away on February 21, 2025, at Williamstown Commons after a lengthy illness.

Born in Adams on June 12, 1934, daughter of the late Clery H. Gobeille and Ida (Guerin) Gobeille, she was a graduate of Notre Dame Elementary School and the Adams High School Class of 1953. For most of her work life, Claire was employed as an advertising sales representative for local publications, including the Advocate, Shoppers’ Companion, North Adams Transcript and Berkshire Eagle.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Jeanne (Gobeille) Mela, and brother-in-law, Peter Mela. She is survived by numerous cousins. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Hospice Care in the Berkshires, to the entire staff of Williamstown Commons, and in particular to the staff of Evergreen Unit 3 for their attentive care and friendship

A graveside service and burial for Claire will take place Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11AM in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. There are no calling hours.
