Barbara J. Porio, 70

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Miss Barbara Jean Porio, 70, of Adams, died on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Williamstown Commons.

She was born in Adams on October 21, 1954, daughter of the late Jeremiah and Dorothy (Wnuk) Porio. She attended schools in Adams. She then attended UMASS Amherst and earned her bachelor’s in biology from the former North Adams State College.

Barbara last worked for the former Sprague Electric Company in North Adams until retiring at which time she took care of her mother Dorothy until her death.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.

She is survived by her brother Thomas Porio of Springfield; her sister Teresa Gamache and her husband Timothy of Adams and by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her two brothers, David and James Porio.

Funeral services and burial will be private for the family. There are no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.

Hey Terri and Tommy I am sorry you lost your sister Barb. Barb was a loving sister and she always had your back Terri. She hung out with us even though we were the younger ones! She played a good game of cards and we loved her. I hope she reconnects with friends and family in heaven
