CLARKSBURG, Mass. — With extremely heavy hearts we share that Collin Matthew Gageant of Clarksburg died on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the young age of 16.

Collin was born in North Adams on Oct. 7, 2008, to Carl Gageant and Melanie Gillooly. He was an honor roll student, finishing his sophomore year in the electrical program at Charles H. McCann Technical High School.

Collin enjoyed fishing, video games, trains, swimming, and riding his bike. He cherished being on the side by side with his dad. He loved spending time with family, his cats and his friends.

He is remembered and loved by his father, Carl Gageant (Jennifer Moreau) of Clarksburg; his mother, Melanie Gillooly of St. Augustine Beach, Fla.; sister, Lyza Licht (Trenton Andrews) of North Adams; his paternal grandmother, Lucille (Prevey) Gageant; his uncles, Stephen (Jennifer) Gageant of Adams, and Daniel Gageant of North Adams; aunts, Susan Gillooly (Timothy McNeil "Uncle Buck") of Auburn, and Sarah Gillooly (Juan Hernandez) of Pittsfield; and several cousins. Collin was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Robert Henry Gageant and his maternal grandparents, Neil and Andrea (Gaudette) Gillooly.
