Tomaro Elgar Cook, 51

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —

With profound sadness, we announced the passing of Tomaro Lynne Elgar Cook, who departed this world on June 14, 2025 at the age of 51. Born on October 5, 1973 in Columbus, Indiana to Robin Sweeney and Harold Elgar, she was a quiet, curious child from an early age. She graduated high school in West Palm, Florida, focusing on fine arts. Tomaro saw the world through a lens of color, shape, and emotion. She loved nothing more than creating and drawing things for those she loved. Tomaro was kind and her loyalty was abundant.

Tomaro met her husband, John, at the young age of 18. Throughout life, John and Tomaro remained together through the highlights and shortcomings life offered. Out of all of Tomaro’s life events, she often said that her biggest accomplishment was bringing her four children into the world. She was always very proud of their resilience and spoke fondly of her grown children and the lives they created.

She has survived by her parents, her husband, her brother, Desmon, her children Daylan (Taryn) Ornstein, Sierra (Giuseppe) LoDuca, John Cook and Jaelynne Cook; her grandchildren, Giulianna and Nicolai. She is predeceased by her best friend, Maryanne Smith.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 24th at 11:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 25 Hoosac St. Adams. Relatives and friends are invited. There are no calling hours. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, Adams, is in charge of arrangements. To leave a message of condolence, or for directions, please go online to www.paciorekfuneral.com

You’ll never forget you, my lady please rest easy. My heart is broken in 1 million places, but I am also smiling because I will never forget your beautiful face. I’ll never forget my daughter taking her first steps from me to you and from you back to me. I’ll never forget my daughter dancing with John in the kitchen and him finally teaching me how to sleep without her. You guys taught me how to be a parent with the little I knew …. In the situation that was presented. I will forever be grateful. I thank God that he brought you into my life. I’m putting your picture above a while and I will always look at it and smile because you bring me a piece. Jon, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Please reach out to me when you’re ready. I love you, girl. I’ll never say goodbye but I will see you later.
