Jane H. Varno, 76

BENNINGTON, Vt. —

Mrs. Jane H. (Misiuk) Varno, 76, of Bennington, formerly a longtime resident of Adams, has gone to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born in Adams on October 9, 1948, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Blazejewski) Misiuk. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the Charles H. McCann Technical High School.

Jane worked at Walmart in North Adams for many years until retiring and moving to Bennington to care for her beloved twin grandsons Carson and Preston. After moving to Bennington, she worked part-time at Price Chopper as the “Sample Lady”. She was a devoted member of Mount Greylock Baptist Church, North Adams.

She married her high school sweetheart, William A. Varno on October 14, 1967. Besides her husband, she is survived by her two sons, William Varno and his fiancé Tracy Fancher of Adams and Michael Varno and his wife Kellie of Hanscomb AFB, MA; by her daughter Sarah Willette and her husband Travis of Pownal; her four grandchildren and loves of her life, Casey and Joshua Varno and Carson and Preston Willette; three brothers, James Misiuk and his wife Maryanne of Lake Forrest, CA, Stanley Misiuk and his wife Patricia of Adams and Robert Misiuk and his wife Kathy of Henderson, NV as well as many nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 12th at 10:00 A.M. in the Mount Greylock Baptist Church, North Adams.

Burial will be at a later date.

Calling hours are Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mount Greylock Baptist Church, 35 Notch Rd., North Adams, MA 01247.

Bill, I am sorry to hear about your loss. I remember when you were dating Jane and met her when you brought her to the farm one day. I was just a kid back then but I saw you hugging in the front room. I think back on those days all those years ago when we all hung out on the farm. It is hard to believe that it was so long ago. I met Jane working with her at Walmart. She truly was someone who brightened up a job atmosphere and we became work friends. I've known Jane for most.of my life. We lived across the street from one another on Richmond St. Her mom and gram were close to my Babchi and my parents. She was always extra nice to everyone.
