Dana L. Bromley, 66

ADAMS, Mass. —
Mr. Dana L. Bromley, 66, of South Hero, VT, formerly of Pittsfield and Adams, MA died unexpectedly on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at his home.
He was born in Pittsfield on November 13, 1958, a son of the late Ralph and Tula (Rogers) Bromley. After High school he attended Bentley College and the former North Adams State College.
Mr. Bromley was a veteran having served with the United States Air Force from 1984 until receiving his honorable discharge as Sergeant in 1990.
Following his discharge from the Air Force, Dana worked as an air traffic controller for the Federal Aviation Administration at Worcester Regional Airport until relocating to Burlington International Airport until retiring in 2013.
Dana’s compassion and kind heartedness didn’t go unnoticed as he always made time for his children and volunteered at many animal rescue shelters and took in elderly cats while working at a therapeutic horse farm.
He is survived by his son Kyle Bromley (Lindsay Girard); his daughter Alyssa Bromley and her fiancé Ronnie Tatro; his step daughter Jamie Barthe and her fiancé Trevor Ciempa; a brother Kirk Bromley of Wolcott, CT; a sister Linda Downey and her husband James of Williamsburg, VA; his granddaughter Alyviah Bromley; his nephew and great nephew Matthew Downey (Ashley) and Lucas Downey and by his companion and former wife Susan Barthe.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Susan Haigh.
Funeral services and burial will be private for the family. There are no calling hours.
