Wanda H. Anderson, 87

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Wanda Helen Anderson, 87, of Cheshire, MA, passed away on August 13, 2025, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA. She was predeceased by her husband, Ronald Anderson, her son, Dennis Anderson, and her brother, Robert Jaskalka. She is survived by her twin sister, Alice Jaskalka, and her two granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Alyssa Anderson, along with many beloved relatives and close friends who were always there to support her.

Wanda was born on March 3, 1938, a daughter of the late John and Stella (Novak) Jaskalka, and raised in Savoy, MA, on her family’s farm. There, alongside her sister and father, she learned the value of hard work and dedication. Wanda graduated from the former Adams Memorial High School, then went on to graduate from Berkshire Business College and began her career at a radio station. When her son Dennis was born, Wanda devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mother while Ronald worked in the quarry at Specialty Minerals.

The family shared a love of travel, exploring much of the United States together over the years. In retirement, Wanda and Ronald split their time between Cheshire and their winter home in Leesburg, FL. Her hobbies included gardening, hosting dinners and playing cards with friends, decorating for the holidays, and keeping a tidy and organized home. She deeply loved watching her grandchildren grow and lived an independent life, maintaining her home for many years after Ronald’s passing.

A woman of strong faith, Wanda was a devoted member of Saint Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire and an active participant in the Red Hat Society, where she formed many lifelong friendships. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 19th at 10:00 AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Relatives and friends are invited. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Choir, in honor of her late son Dennis, and may be sent to 159 Church St. Cheshire, MA 01225.

The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, Adams, is in charge of arrangements. To leave a message of condolence, or for directions, please go online to www.paciorekfuneral.com
