Theresa H. Alibozek, 93

ADAMS, Mass. —
Theresa Helen (Krzanik) Alibozek, 93, of Adams, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Born in Cheshire on June 4, 1932, she attended local schools and graduated from the former Adams High School with the Class of 1950. She was an accomplished and talented seamstress and had worked for the former Roberts Co. in North Adams for years, then established her own business, T & T Tailors in North Adams. At age 14, her skills as a seamstress earned her a trip to the very first National 4-H Convention in Chicago, one of only two persons selected from across Massachusetts.
She married Joseph J. Alibozek on August 16, 1952, and began a long, happy marriage on the Alibozek family farm, which was a place of many fun family gatherings, including the 1971 family reunion which was widely published in the “The Packet” newspaper. A 1960 Alibozek family gathering also appears on YouTube today. It is where she taught her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren about life on the farm, and where she cared for these generations in the 1970’s, 80’s, 90’s and into the 2000’s. Theresa was a friend and babysitter whenever she was needed. She was an avid Boston sports fan, often heard cheering for her teams. Her homemade spaghetti sauce was famous with Dad’s hunting crew. Mom was our matriarch, our rock, our mentor and our role model, always there when we needed her. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams.
Her beloved husband, Joseph, died on June 15, 2018. She is survived by her four children- Susan King and her husband Peter of Cheshire; Joan Kleiner and her husband Craig of Cheshire, Joseph Alibozek Jr. and his fiancée Debbie of Cheshire, and John Alibozek and his wife Brenda of Adams; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a half-sister, Gail Branch, and by a half-brother, Joseph Quackenbush.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 20th at 10:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 25 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Relatives and friends are invited. Per her wishes, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility, 1000 North St. Pittsfield, MA 01201. The PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
