Joy Cardinal Lasher, 75

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Early morning on Sept. 11 2025, Joy Cardinal Lasher passed away after a valiant fight with cancer while in Hospice care. Joy (Bishop) was 75 years old. 

She attended St. Joseph's school and graduated from McCann Tech, both in North Adams.  

She is preceded in death by her father, Max Bishop and mother, Joy D. Bishop.  She is survived by her son, Michael Lasher and 11 siblings. 

Joy smiled as she accepted every request for help and willingly volunteered for many causes.  The Men's Warming Shelter in Bedford IN held this shelter dear to her heart. 

Mass will be held at St. Vincent De Paul church Sept. 24 beginning at 10:00.  In lieu of flowers please donate to The Men's Homeless Shelter, Bedford, IN

I am so sorry for the loss of Joy. I use to live near Joy and her family in North Adams. She always had a smile on her face and was so nice. My thoughts and prayer go out to the family
