David A. Zappone, 60

ADAMS, Mass. —
David Anthony Zappone, 60, of Pittsfield formerly from Adams, died on Monday, Sept 15, 2025, at Berkshire Medical Center.
He was born in Adams on March 30, 1965, a son of the late Anthony Francis Zappone and of Gioia Marie (Mancini) Zappone.
David attended schools in Adams and Cheshire and graduated in 1984 from Hoosac Valley High School, where he played football as number #75. His sons also carried on his number #75 while playing football.
Known as Zeppie(GRIZZELY BEAR) to many of his friends. He loved his motorcycle. Over the summer he took a ride to Maine with his son Chad. To his son Chad this ride was very memorable with his Ole Man. Through this memorable trip to Maine there were many adventures. Seeing Old Orchard beach, southwest Harbor, seeing Acadia National Park, and also a broken clutch cable on his bike causing him and Chad to take a U-Haul home.
David loved watching his children and his grandchildren grow. Spending time with his family and friends was so important to him. He also knew how to work on just any car, truck, motorcycle, Tractor-trailer, and snow-mobile. David spent 37 years as a truck driver. Snowmobiling on his Polaris and riding free on his motorcycle was his greatest joy.
David leaves his two sons, Jonathan Zappone of Adams, MA, Chad Zappone of Pittsfield, MA, One stepson Jacob Therrien of Adams, MA, One daughter Emily Zappone (Zac) of Dalton, MA, Two stepdaughters, Kari Richardson (Jason) of Cheshire, MA, and Kayla Whitman of Adams, MA. He also leaves his brother and sister, James Zappone (Rose) of Pownal, VT and Donna Boesse (Michael) Of Adams, MA. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Emma, Lily, Charlie, Jaden, Kash, and Ivy who Pappa Zeppie could never remember her name and called her Olivia. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of David’s Life will be held on Sunday, October 5th at 3:30 P.M. at the Bounti-Fare Restaurant, Howland Ave. Adams, MA 01220. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
