JOAN SHIRLEY BROWN

Joan Shirley (Bourdon) Brown, 90, of North Adams, MA, passed from this life on November, 13, 2025, with loved ones by her side. She was born on September 24, 1935, to Alfred and Rose (Perras) Bourdon in North Adams, MA.

After attending Notre Dame Parochial School, Joan raised her family and worked at North Adams Regional Hospital, Williamstown Commons and Sprague Electric. She loved spending time with family and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Church. She was previously an active member of Holy Family and Notre Dame Churches.

Joan is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra Lloyd; great grandchildren, Jaheem, Zatavian, Kamilla and Shanyce; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Samantha Lloyd; sister, Helen LaForest; and longtime partner, Frank Grassi.

The family is forever grateful for the kindness and comfort Joan received from caregivers, JoAnne LaForest, Eric Floriani, Mary Scanlon, Paul LaForest and Teresa McLain.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A PRIVATE  Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Joan Brown will take place at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Calling hours will be held at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery.
