ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Elaine E. (Millette) Jozefiak, 94, of Adams, died on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at North Adams Commons.

She was born in Adams on December 8, 1930, daughter of the late Joseph Millette and Blanche (Beauchemin) Millette Grover. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Mrs. Jozefiak last worked as a seamstress for the former Waverly Fabrics in Adams until her retirement. Earlier she had worked as a switchboard operator for the former Plunkett Hospital in Adams.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church. She enjoyed sewing and her daily walks around Adams.

Her husband Joseph Jozefiak, whom she married on January 20, 1951, died on June 12, 1994.

She is survived by her four sons, Brian Jozefiak and his wife Kathy of Florida, Gary Jozefiak and his wife Debra of Adams, Steven Jozefiak of Pennsylvania and Alan Jozefiak and his wife Cheryl of Florida; ten grandchildren, Sarah, Lori, Alison, Jason, Bob, Cody, Brianna, Christina, Lea and Greg; seven great grandchildren, Isabella, Ethan, Brandon, Briella, Ayla, Grace and Mila and by two nieces, Janis and Gail.

She was predeceased by her daughter Marsha Meyers, her daughter-in-law Melissa Jozefiak and by her brother Bernard Millette.

The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 20th at 11:00 A.M. in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Maple St., Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.

A calling hour IN THE CHURCH will be Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or North Adams Regional Hospital (Emergency Dept. in the memo line) through the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, which is in charge of arrangements.
