NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Penny (Vackas) Clark, 87 of North Adams, MA died Friday November 28, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. Penny was born in North Adams, MA on May 4, 1938, and was the daughter of the late Spiro and Helen (Kanelos) Vackas.

Penny’s love extended to her sons, brothers, and sister-in-law as well as her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased last year by her special aunt, Dolores Kanelos, who was her lifelong close friend.

Penny’s extended family included the great women and men of the Berkshire Country Line Dancers, Elks #457 Lodge Bingo and many others in the community.

Penny loved and was proud to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events often enduring the unpredictable weather at soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and cheering from the bleachers at basketball and hockey games. Other interests included gardening and birdwatching in their backyard with a special affinity for red cardinals, a passion she shared with her husband, Bob.
