Kathleen A. Ziarnik, 73

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Kathleen Ann (Sniezek) Ziarnik, 73, of Adams, died on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

She was born in Adams on June 27, 1952, daughter of the late John and Mildred (Koczela) Sniezek. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams Memorial High School with the class of 1970. She then attended Berkshire Community College and earned her Licensed Practical Nursing certificate from Charles H. McCann Technical High School in 1975.

Kathy worked as an LPN staff nurse at North Adams Regional Hospital for 35 years until she retired in 2014.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams.

Kathy loved spending time outdoors, especially visiting the Greylock Glen, a place she found peaceful and beautiful throughout the seasons. She also cherished time spent with her close circle of friends, whose companionship brought her great joy.

Her husband, Richard Ziarnik, whom she married on February 2, 1990, died on December 6, 2019.

She is survived by her stepson, Jason Ziarnik and his wife Allison and their children Madison and Coleson of Tigard, OR; her mother-in-law Rosemary Ziarnik of Adams; her brother-in-law David Ziarnik and his wife Cindy of Adams; two sisters-in-law, Teresa Daignault and her husband Jeffery and Gail Sookey and her husband David, all of Adams, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her stepson Adam Ziarnik.

Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
