Marion C. Czarnik, 94

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Marion C. (Delmolino) Czarnik, 94, of Adams, died Thursday morning, November 27, 2025 at Williamstown Commons following a brief illness.

She was born in Cheshire, MA on April 23, 1931, a daughter of the late Simone and Clementina (Delmolino) Delmolino, and attended schools in Adams, graduating from the former Adams High School, with the Class of 1949.

Marion worked as the administrative assistant to the manager at the former Waverly Fabrics in Adams until retiring when the business closed in 1991.

Earlier, she had worked at the former Kelly’s on the Corner in Adams.

She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, and enjoyed reading, solving word puzzles and baking chocolate chip cookies. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family.

Her husband, Matthew S. Czarnik, whom she married on April 26, 1952, died on January 7, 2009.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Mendel of Adams; grandson Daniel St. John and his wife, Kendra of Lynn, MA; her great granddaughter Kora; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Marion’s niece Pamela Bourdon, for her tireless devotion in visiting and attending to mom, and to Isaiah Hopkins of Elder Services of Berkshire County for all of his efforts in securing services for mom in her final years.

She was predeceased by her brother, Samuel Delmolino, her sister, Elsie Asdikian, and her son-in-law, Anthony Mendel.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 8th at 11:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Burial will be held at a later date. A calling hour will be held on Monday. Dec. 8th from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, directly before the funeral, IN THE CHURCH. Memorial donations may be made to the AYJ Fund, 201 Eagle St. North Adams, MA 01247.

Marion worked with my aunt elaine and aunt shirley at Waverly in adams. I used to see her all the time in the big y years ago. She was such a nice lady.
