Sending you our deepest condolences. I worked with John for 10 years & enjoyed our conversations between classes & his homemade baked goods he shared with me & my kids. He was one of their favorite teachers, old school & yet making Latin fun. We will miss him. Amber, Scott, Matthew, & Katie

To Mary, Joan, and Family
We are extremely saddened to hear of John's passing. Knowing him only for about two and a half years through our weekly get togethers at the FYP. During those gatherings I saw a real gentleman and scholar. He would always ask me how I was doing and how my golf game was going. I made sure that when we met I would bring him the latest edition of the Williams Record. When he first got sick he asked me for rides to his appointments in Pittsfield. I simple said yes and enjoyed his company. It is only fitting that being such a devoted Catholic that he passed away on Christmas. May you cherish all of the good times that you had together and we all know for sure that he is resting comfortably in heaven.

I moved into the same neighborhood as John a little over two years back and he very quickly became a great neighbor, welcoming me and letting the tree cutters that I hired use his driveway.

I'll miss waving to him while I'm driving home, passing him at Freight Yard or stopping to chat with him on my walks up the hill. He was an interesting and good person.
