NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Venture Lorraine (Perry) Hazard, 76 of North Adams died on November 24, 2025 at home. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 31, 1949 a daughter of the late William Perry & Virtue Hampton.

Venture attended Crispus Attucks High School and earned her business degree at Indiana Business College. Venture was happily employed as a cashier at Stop & Shop in North Adams for many years where she greeted every customer with a smile on her face.

Venture was married for over 45 years to Donald Hazard (death 2025). She leaves her son, Darius Hazard of North Adams, siblings, Henry Whitted, Pharez Whitted and Tamar Gray. She also leaves nieces, Tamieka Reid, Sharmeka Whitted, Laura Whitted, Durga Muhammad, nephew, Jordan Whitted and a host of extended family.

Venture was a Christian with a firm belief in the Lord.
