Robert C. Fachini, Jr.

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Robert C. Fachini Jr., 63 of Cheshire passed away on January 1, 2026, after a steadfast, dauntless battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bob was born in Adams on March 20, 1962 to Nancy (Paro) Fachini and the late Robert C. Fachini Sr. On May 12, 1984, at the young age of 21, he married Bonnie J. (Poulton) Fachini who became his best friend, strongest advocate and the love of his life. Together they welcomed their son, Robert “Bobby” Fachini, who would become the reason they celebrated life’s finest moments and the reason they overcame life’s most challenging of times.
Bob gifted his passions for boating, snowmobiling, fast cars and hunting to his son who will forever cherish their time spent in the woods, on the lake, at the track, on snow-covered trails and at home enjoying the warmth and love of family.
In recent years Bob rekindled his lost love of race car driving. After a 25 year hiatus, during his cancer treatments, he was able to experience the thrill of racing at “The Valley” while family, friends and fellow racers cheered on B&B Motorsports, #728. If Bob was not in his car, you might find him on his Harley cruising at a (somewhat) slower pace.
Bob attended schools in Adams and was certified as a First Class Fireman most recently employed by Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric Co.
Besides his wife and son, Bob sadly leaves behind his grandson Owen, who he wished to spend so much more time with, his daughter in law Jari Fachini, siblings Gail Hoogkamp (Stan), Darlene Fachini, Tina Lemaire (Scott), Rick, Corey, Shad Fachini and Bobby Ann Christopolis. He also leaves behind his “in law” family, Robin, Joey (Karen) Ricky, Bruce (Betty Jo) Diane (Todd) Laura and Tommy as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Gena Poulton.
Bonnie and Bobby are very grateful for the friends and family who have shared in Bob’s life journey and for the amazing care and thoughtfulness of the staff at Berkshire Hematology.
