Marilyn Cimonetti, 88

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Marilyn Ann Dami Cimonetti (88), affectionally known as “Pete” by everyone who knew and loved her, passed away peacefully at her home in Concord, North Carolina, on December 26, 2025, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born on December 17, 1937, in North Adams, Massachusetts to James Euegnio Dami and Alice Mary Patenaude, both who predeceased her. She graduated from Drury High School and retired from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students.
Marilyn married Raymond Gene Cimonetti on December 31, 1955, who predeceased her in May 2014. Their union was marked by deep devotion, shared humor and a lifetime of memories that shaped the generations to come. Together they raised three children Lynn Cimonetti Raymond, Loren J. Cimonetti and Lori Jean Beighley, who predeceased her in January 2025. She loved being a grandmother to eight grandchildren, Colleen Raymond Bullard, Gabrielle Raymond, who predeceased her in January 2024, Maura Raymond Thomsen, Aron Cimonetti, Andrew Cimonetti, Adam Cimonetti, Ashley Beighley and Laura Beighley. She also will be deeply missed by her great grandchildren, Colten Bullard, Corinne Bullard, Davis Bullard, Noah Cimonetti, Oliver Cimonetti, Simon Cimonetti, Aiden Benoit, Raleigh Benoit, Autumn Benoit, Tessa Cimonetti, and Teagen Cimonetti. Survivors include sister Barbara Pettit of Albany, NY, brother James Dami of Cheshire, MA and sister Donna Moore of Clarksburg, MA.
She was known for creating memorable gatherings for those she cherished, was a talented cook and natural hostess and had a true gift for bringing people together. She loved the thrill of a good card game, thrift shopping and uncovering special finds, decorating and furnishing her home with pride, the sunshine of a tropical vacation, and sewing and crafting - always working on something thoughtful and homemade. Marilyn will be remembered for her curated style, joyful personality and never turning down a reason to celebrate and have a good time. She was vibrant and full of life.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Marilyn Cimonetti will be celebrated Friday May 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 70 Marshall St. North Adams, MA. Burial will be in Southview cemetery immediately following. A calling hour will be held at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
