Joyce Ellen Richardson, 48, of 161B Spring Road died Wednesday afternoon at Berkshire Medical Center following a motor vehicle accident in Adams. Born in Adams on March 25, 1953, daughter of Doris Harrington Marcil and the late Bernard Marcil, she attended Adams schools and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School in 1971. Mrs. Richardson had been employed by Berkshire Hematology Oncology in Pittsfield since December. She previously worked at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown for 11 years and at E.W. DeGere Transportation for seven years. She was a member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening. Besides her mother, of Adams, she leaves her husband, Assistant Fire Chief David M. Richardson, whom she married Sept. 3, 1971; three sons, Kyle D. Richardson of Chadbourne, N.C., Kevin M. Richardson of Adams and Kory S. Richardson of Honolulu; two sisters, Theresa Molleur and Jane Burnett, both of Adams, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 2 at First Baptist Church, Route 8, Adams. The Rev. Donald E. Gray, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams, at a later date. Calling hours at AUGE-PACIOREK-SIMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, will be today, Friday, from 4 to 7. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Adams or to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
