Carl Joseph Gageant, 53

Carl Joseph Gageant, 53 of Clarksburg, MA. died Wednesday January 14, 2026 at his home.

He was born in North Adams on February 19, 1972 a son of Lucille Marie (Prevey) Gageant and the late Robert Henry Gageant. Carl graduated from the McCann High School in North Adams specializing in metal fabrication with the class of 1991. He was employed since graduation for Adams Plumbing and Heating.

Carl enjoyed fishing, camping and boating with his son Collin, cutting and selling firewood from his home and caring for his cats. He was a hardworking and devoted father, son and brother.

He was predeceased by his beloved son Collin Matthew Gageant who died June 14, 2025 and his father Robert Henry Gageant who died December 29, 2020.

Survivors include his loving mother Lucille Marie (Prevey) Gageant of North Adams, stepdaughter Liza Licht (Trenton Andrews) of North Adams, brothers Stephen Gageant (Jennifer) of Adams, Daniel Gageant of North Adams. He also leaves his maternal grandmother Elizabeth Prevey, nieces and nephews Allison (Joshua Dix) , Nollan, Griffin (Nina), Nathaniel, Sophia and Jeremy.

Calling Hours for Carl J. Gageant will take place on Friday January 23, 2026 from 4-6:30 PM. at the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA. followed by a memorial service at 6:30 PM. I am at Karl when I was six years old when my grandparents moved to W. Shaft Rd. we became instant fishing buddies and had many adventures hunting and fishing and camping. Rest in peace my friend.
