Viola M. Tassone, 91

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Miss Viola Margaret Tassone, 91, of North Adams, died Friday afternoon, February 6, 2026 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in North Adams on April 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Vincent A. and Margaret (Morocco) Tassone. She attended North Adams schools, graduating from Drury High School with the Class of 1953.

Viola worked in the claims department at the former Waverly Fabrics in Adams for many years until the company ceased operations. She then worked at the former Sweet Brook Care Center for several years until retiring. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams, and earlier of St. Anthony of Padua Church, where she was active in many parish activities, including the Choir and the Bazaar committee. She also spent several years maintaining the flower gardens on the church property. She enjoyed photography and trips to the beaches in Maine, and was a member of several local bowling leagues in her younger years.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers Vincent. A. Tassone, Jr. and a brother who died in infancy; and by her sisters Mary Richards and Madeline Paciorek.

The funeral procession will begin on Friday, Feb. 13th at 8:45 AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 6 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Church, 70 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247. I'm SO Sorry to read about her passing she was a kind hearted wonderful person who I'm truly going to miss seeing time with after mowing her lawn she was full of Wisdom about life and I truly grateful for knowing her.
