Richard J. Towsley, 72

CHESHIRE, Mass. —  

Mr. Richard J. Towsley, 72, of Cheshire, died on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Williamstown Commons.

He was born in Adams on September 29, 1953, son of the late Richard and Stella (Krok) Towsley. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School in 1972.

Dick worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for the former Pfizer, Inc. until his retirement.

He was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. He enjoyed fishing, classic cars, coin collecting, weekend drives, attending races at Lebanon Valley Speedway and air shows at Westover Air Force Base.

He is survived by his cousins, Karen Porter, Audrey Crandall, Steven Holland and Aaron Crandall, his best friend of 53 years, Francis Girard and by his beloved dog Coco.

Funeral services and burial will be private for the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society, 214 Barker Rd., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
