PITTSFIELD, Mass. —  Daniel William Riello, 73 of Pittsfield, MA died Wednesday February 18, 2026 at Berkshire Medical Center.

He was born in Pittsfield, MA on March 17, 1952, a son of Gregory Louis Riello and Alma (Saracione) Riello. He attended Lanesborough schools and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Daniel was employed as a tool and die maker for General Electric Co for over 25 years until his retirement. He loved music and played the bass guitar in several area bands including Fast Forward and Captive. He was an avid fan of the New York Giants football team and the Boston Red Sox baseball team. Daniel also enjoyed metal detecting and was very proud of his Italian heritage.

Survivors include two sons, Antonio (Nancy) Riello of Pittsfield, MA and Derek M. Riello of Pittsfield, MA; a granddaughter, Christiana Grace (Josh Duprey) Riello; and a great grandson, Hunter Chris Riello-Duprey. His son, Christopher Gregory Riello died on May 19, 1998 and his two brothers, Ralph T. Riello and Gregory L. Riello Jr are both deceased.
