PITTSFIELD, Mass. —  Patricia Ann Duckworth, 79, of Pittsfield, MA died on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.

She was born in Louisville, KY to Ethel L. (McKinley) and Herbert L. Duckworth on November 14, 1946.

Patricia spent much of her life caring for others as a nurse practitioner and educator and was often described as accomplished. She received her diploma in nursing from the James Ward Throne School of Nursing, a Bachelor’s Degree/RN from Salve Regina University, a Master’s Degree in Nursing Science from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and pursued her PhD in gerontological nursing. Patricia also served as the Founding Chairperson of the Practical Nurse Certificate Program at Mildred Elley, Pittsfield, MA from 2011-2014.

A woman of faith, Patricia was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church. After suffering a brain injury, she became the recipient of the extended care to which she had committed her life. Beating the odds, she managed to find happiness, meeting her adoring partner, Mike.

She is survived by her daughter, Megan Hallmark; her beloved partner, Mike; and many friends, including Louise Deragon and Carolyn Manigat.

Services for Patricia will be held on Monday March 16, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church, 74 First Street, Pittsfield, MA. Burial will be private. To add to the book of memories, please visit www.flynndagnolifuneralhomes.com
