Linda M. DeSanty, 77

POWNAL, Vt. —  Linda Mary DeSanty, 77 of Pownal, VT died on Thursday February 26, 2026 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY.

She was born in North Adams, MA on June 7, 1948. A daughter of Theodore Dobbert and Veronica (LaRoche) Crockwell. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, George Crockwell. Linda graduated from Drury High School and attended UMass in Amherst.

Linda was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted caregiver to her son. She enjoyed sewing.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Joseph DeSanty Jr whom she married on July 6, 1968 and one daughter, Wendy Lynn DeSanty Carney and her husband, William of Summerville, SC and one son, Arthur John DeSanty of Petersburg, NY. She also leaves her stepsisters, Dorothy O’Dell; and her twin, Deborah Kelly and her husband, Sean; and her stepbrothers Theodore Dobbert; George Crockwell and his wife, Gloria; and David Crockwell and his wife, Tammy; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Kathleen Dunnells and Veronica Rhodes.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Linda DeSanty will be at later date and burial will be in Southview cemetery. So sorry for your loss! Linda was a wonderful person. Knew Linda and family through grammer school (Haskins), Drury. Spent time in the family home. Linda asked me to be her Maid of Honor. So many things yet we lost touch. Rest in Peace my long lost friend!
