Alan P. Dellaghelfa, 66

ADAMS, Mass. —

Mr. Alan P. Dellaghelfa, 66, of Adams, died Saturday evening, March 7, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family and friends, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in Adams on November 17, 1959, son of the late Elvino and Gena (DiLorenzo) Dellaghelfa. He attended Adams schools, graduating from Hoosac Valley High School with the Class of 1977.

Alan was the owner/operator of his family businesses, Adams Trucking, Adams Concrete Forming and Adams Excavating, which was founded by his father in 1973. He continued working until his passing, assisted by his family. Alan started working in construction with his father at a very young age. His parents taught him good work ethics, which he passed along to his own children.

Alan had a passion for restoring and painting old and new cars, trucks and equipment. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending summers at his camp in Windsor. He always had a good story to tell that would make everyone laugh. He loved traveling with his family to dirt bike races on the weekends. From his children's sports events to his grandchildren's events, spending time with his family brought him a lot of love and happiness. He was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II, Adams.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, the former Elizabeth A. Ryan, whom he married on December 30, 1977; his daughter Amy E. Dellaghelfa and her companion Jeff Collins, of Adams; his sons Ryan P. Dellaghelfa and his wife Jessica of Arden, NC, and Paul A. Dellaghelfa and his companion Kaitlyn Collins of Adams; his 4 grandchildren- Ava, Maria, Logan and Lucas; his sisters Susan Dellaghelfa of Adams, and Cathy Garcia and her husband John of Windsor; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

We would like to thank all our family and friends for all their support through this difficult time. We would also like to thank Berkshire VNA, Hospice Care in the Berkshires and all the wonderful nurses at the Cancer Center for their kindness and support.

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14th at 10:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, 21 Maple St. Adams.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, are Friday, March 13th, from 3 to 6 PM.
