Joseph "LJ" Robert, 42

ADAMS, Mass. —
Mr. Joseph Michael “LJ” Robert, 42, of Adams, transitioned over the rainbow on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Williamstown Commons after a short battle with a complicated form of cancer.
He was born in North Adams on June 22, 1983, son of Wendy (Anderson) Robert and Michael Robert and his wife Wendy.
Joe attended Adams and Cheshire Schools until the age of 13 when an off-road motorcycle accident occurred. Before becoming a special person in a wheelchair, he played soccer and basketball with the local schools and Adams PAL.
After becoming a special person, he returned to Hoosac Valley High School and graduated with the class of 2001. Following his graduation, he was employed by Ronnies Harley Davidson from April 26, 2005, until January 11, 2020, when he retired after contracting Covid. He had also worked with his father at Custom City Cycle in Adams and had been a regular at the Social Development Center.
He enjoyed riding his off-road motorcycle and had been a member of NETRA having been high ranking in New England. His favorite music was Metallica, Blue’s Traveler, REM, Aerosmith and many more. Joe’s favorite thing to do at home was to be on his computer as it was “A whole new world” for him as well as watching his favorite TV shows and admiring his autographed picture collection from Jesse James, Shaquile O’Neal and Cal Ripkin.
Kind, compassionate and always forgiving everyone was his nature. He is now flying with the angels, out of his wheelchair of 30 years and seeing his grandma and grandpa again.
Besides his parents of Adams, he is survived by his brother Scott Robert of Adams; his nephew Hunter Robert and his extended family; his uncle Bruce Anderson; his close friend Dave Stoddard and by several cousins.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours.
Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or to Hospice Care in the Berkshires, 877 South St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
