Frank J. Germanowski

PITTSFIELD - Frank J. Germanowski, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2026, following a long illness. Born on May 30, 1934, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, he was the son of Francis and Mary (Zaorski) Germanowski.

Frank was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree in engineering from Clarkson University. He dedicated 35 years of his career to General Electric, where he worked as a mechanical engineer. He was also a proud member of the Elfun Society.

Frank found great joy in cooking and cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be remembered for his love, kindness, and amazing culinary skills.

In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sister, Josepha "Dodie" A. Desjardins, and his child, Kaz Germanowski.

He is survived by his beloved wife of forty-four years, Marlene C. Germanowski; his children, Laurie Germanowski Schwartz, Kelly Dugan (Glenn), and Susan Conboy (Ben); his adored grandchildren, Heather Betters, Josh Betters, Brittany Lefevre (Will), Shelby Feeney (Mike), Lindsey Jodrey (Dave), and Ryan Dugan (Michelle); as well as several great-grandchildren.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Madeleine and I are very sorry to hear about your loss. I didn't know Frank but I did know that he was well liked, admired and respected. I also know that he accomplished a lot in his work for the government. I'm sure he will be missed by you and your family
