Cecelia B. Michalenko, 90

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Cecelia B. (Biros) Michalenko, 90, of Adams, died Tuesday evening, March 31, 2026 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Adams on September 11, 1935, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Tomaszewski) Biros and attended Adams schools.

Ceil last worked as a seamstress at ALADCO in Adams until retiring. Earlier she worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams and Waverly Fabrics in Adams.

She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She enjoyed spending summers at her camp on Windsor Pond, hosting July 4th gatherings, sewing, trips to the casinos and spending time with her grandchildren.

Her husband, Aloysius Michalenko, whom she married on April 8, 1961, died on January 16, 2005. She is survived by two sons, Michael Michalenko (Sharon) of Adams, and Peter Michalenko (Sherri) of Savoy; her daughter-in-law Sharon Michalenko of Savoy, one brother, Edward Biros of Adams, six grandchildren, Nicholas Michalenko, Emily Michalenko, Alexander Michalenko, Hailey Robley, Ryan Michalenko and Nathan Michalenko; three great grandchildren, McKinley, Willa and Mayvin Michalenko, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Lawrence Michalenko, on Feb. 19, 2024, by her brothers John, Frank, Stanley, Theodore, Albin, Joseph, Richard and Edwin Biros, and by her sisters Gladys Czubryt, Alice Cichy and Jane Armata.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 9th at 12 Noon in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. A calling hour will be held on Thursday, April 9th from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon, directly before the funeral. Memorial donations may be made to No Paws Left Behind,69 Hodges Cross Rd.
