Sally Josephine (Les) Nolan, 90

Sally Josephine (Les) Nolan, 90, of North Adams, died on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Williamstown Commons. She was born in Adams on February 19, 1936, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Wanda Tekla (Sliwa) Les. She attended local schools, graduating from Adams Memorial High School.
Sally worked at several department stores in North Adams. She was employed at Waverly Fabrics until it’s closing. She last was employed with BFAIR. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary and formerly of St. Francis of Assisi Church. She was active in the Rosary Society and Court Margaret Catholic Daughters.
On November 3, 1956, Sally married the love of her life, John Joseph Nolan at St. Stanislaus Kostka in Adams. John predeceased Sally and died on April 19, 2013.
Sally is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. (John) Jerwick of Hagerstown, MD; sons, John J. (Susan) Nolan, of North Adams, Robert B. Nolan of North Adams, and William J. (Brenda) Nolan of Clarksburg; grandchildren, Daniel (Kimberly) Nolan, Timothy Nolan ( Aimee V. Annichiarico), Rebecca Nolan, Riley Nolan (Michelle Alarcon), Jason Jerwick, Jonelle Jerwick (Jonathan Derin), Mikaela Jerwick, and Jillian Jerwick; great grandchildren, Jaidah Chappell, Beckett Nolan, Milania Alcombright, and Ezra Nolan. She also leaves a sister, Theresa Daniels of Adams, brother, Anthony (Betty) Les of Santa Rosa, CA., sister-in-law Caren Les, nieces, grandnieces and a grandnephew and cousins. Sally was predeceased by her brothers Andrew Les and Joseph Les, and her sons, Michael C. Nolan and Joseph E. Nolan.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on April 22 at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery, North Adams, MA. Calling hours are private.
