Harold J. Weyers Jr, 94

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —  Harold Joseph Weyers Jr, 94 of Bennington, VT and a lifelong resident of Williamstown, MA died Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Southwestern VT Medical Center.

He was born in North Adams, MA on December 25, 1931, a son of Harold Joseph and Margaret Alice (Brownell) Weyers. graduated from the former Williamstown High School. Harold was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the US Air Force.

Harold was employed at Williams College for many years retiring from its buildings and grounds committee and as its Fire Marshal. He enjoyed bowling and golf and was a longtime member of Taconic Golf Club. Harold also enjoyed woodworking.

His wife was Nancy Ellen (Roberts) Weyers who died on February 28, 2016. They were married on November 19, 1955. Survivors include two daughters, Roberta (Tom) Treece of Southwick, MA and Sally (Joshua) Briley of Barkhamsted, CT and one son, Patrick A. (Sharon) Weyers of Selbyville, DE. He also leaves five grandchildren- Christopher, Benjamin, Brandi, Chase and Kayla; two great grandchildren, Jude and Ryan; two sisters, Mary Petitt and Rita Barber, both of Pownal, VT and nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services and burial for Harold Weyers will be private. patrick and family, sorry to hear the passing of your dad. he worked with my mom at williams for over 30 years. we lost mom back in february. remember the good times and lessons our parents taught us. rest in peace

I remember both your parents being so kind with their quiet grace. My Aunt Eleanor & Uncle Ernie Kemp were their next door neighbors. As a child, I spent alot of time there on Simonds Rd which included visiting your parents with my Aunt. Wonderful memories-recipes, the lilac bushes between the two yards... the list goes on. Sending a hug to you all even tho it has been years. Your Father was a great man ! May he rest in peace
